Hi Tania. Thanks so much for joining us today.

If you didn’t write erotic romance what would be your next genre of choice?
Probably fantasy. I grew up reading a lot of fantasy books like Robert Jordan, the Wheel of Time series and David Eddings, the Belgariad series. I actually have one fantasy novel plotted out, but I have too many other romance books in the pipeline (and in my head) to ever consider writing this one (for now, anyway!)

Your Strictly Business Series is set in Sydney and the gorgeous Hunter Valley, what other location/s do you have planned for your next book?

My next novel, DISTRACTIONS, due out in September, is based in Toowoomba on the Darling Downs in Queensland. It is where I went to university. The MADE IN NEW YORK series I’m working on now is based in New York City. I love my travel and always write about places I have visited; it helps to add little details like the smells, the sound, quirky shops or points of interest into my stories, rather than relying on Google.

What is the one book that you’ve read that has blown your mind?

Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code – couldn’t put it down.

What are the three tropes that you will never use in a story?

Not saying this is a definite, but I’ll try not to:
  • Personification: I will aim to never give human attributes to things that are not human. (Eg: Flowers nodded their heads)
  • Oxymoron: Words that contradict, e.g. Huge ant.
  • Irony: This is hard to portray in writing and can often be misleading. My characters say what they think and what they mean without leaving room for error. It is better for the reader.
Cliff-hangers. Do you love them or hate them? Should we ever expect one of these from you?

Yes and No.

I have read some great cliff-hangers, but hate having to wait until the author writes/releases the next book often up to one year. I don’t like living with that kind of stress! (hehehe).

I don’t write cliff-hangers as I write single titles (or books that can be read as a single title). My series are interrelated characters, not follow-ons.

Thanks again, Tania!

A new start. A short term project. That’s all it was meant to be.

Losing his wife in a car accident has left Troy Smith doubtful of ever finding love again. He’s tried, but failed. Now he thinks he’s found solace as a hard-working business partner at Gumtrees Winery.

Kelleigh Johnstone needs a break from dealing with the mess and debt her fraudulent ex-boyfriend left behind. The opportunity to manage a project in the Hunter Valley seems like the perfect escape.

When these two strangers meet, a one-night stand delivers unexpected surprises. Troy is shocked when he finds out Kelleigh represents the company trying to purchase his vineyard for a new golf resort. In order to protect his home and community, Troy must do whatever it takes to stop the project from proceeding.

Kelleigh and Troy may be on opposite sides of the boardroom table, but when they are together the attraction is hard to deny. With livelihoods at stake and broken hearts vulnerable, who will risk everything for another chance at love?

Also available - Book One in the series, Propositions.

No strings attached ... or so she thought.

Following years of sacrifice and struggle, Jessica Mason now co-owns a successful marketing agency in Sydney. All Jessica wants to do is focus on growing her business and maintain the lifestyle she's worked so hard to achieve. But everything changes when her agency wins a major contract for the opening of the new Somers Hotel and she has to take on the account.

Nate Somers is a workaholic trying to please his retiring father. When he meets captivating, go-getting Jessica, the prospect of a short-term love affair sounds like a proposition he'd be crazy to decline.

But when Jessica spends a weekend away at her favorite vineyard retreat, she runs into Troy Smith, the ex-boyfriend who left her broken and vulnerable years ago. Things don't go to plan when the well-kept secrets from her past are revealed and Troy starts weaving his way back into her life.

With her business at stake and hearts at risk, Jessica's future is destined to change. Who will end up making Jessica a proposition she simply cannot refuse?
