Review Policy

I generally review books of the romance genre from my own personal library (purchased by me). Occasionally I am generously provided with books, sometimes ARC's, by the publisher or author. I only provide the rating I feel is genuinely deserved by that book and have not been encouraged to give a higher, false rating because I have received a donated copy of that book.

My reviews are merely an expression of my opinions, thoughts and feelings developed while reading that book. You may notice, I rarely write a review that is less than four stars. If I write a review on a book, it’s because I really liked or even loved that story.
As a published author myself, Amazon does not allow me to post negative reviews. I wouldn't do this, anyway.

I will never write a review if I can’t get past the sample (samples are your friend), or finish the book. It doesn't mean the book isn't worthy of a review. It just means it’s not my cup of tea. I aim to not write a bad review, mainly because every book has its audience and I might not be it. I may however tell you a few things I didn't like about a book that I did enjoy in general.
Yes I know there are some genuinely bad books for sale. Once again, no review if I can't get past the sample.

My personal rating scale:

6 flaresThis was one of the best freakin' books I have ever read. I want to live in this book and probably have its babies.

5 flaresI truly adored this book. I'll keep it and love it and feed it and visit it again and again.

4 flaresI loved this book. It made me feel and kept me turning the pages. I'll definitely keep it and probably read it again.

3 flaresI liked this book. It was a great escape for a while.

2 flaresThis book was okay, but it could've been better.

1 flaresNo. Just no.

No, I don't take review requests, but if you'd like to feature on my blog please fill out this form.

*I only feature the romance genre and its sub-genres. Reviews are not guaranteed for the reasons given above. I require approximately four weeks notice, as I have a schedule that I must manage.*

While I endeavour to respond to any communications or requests in a timely manner, I am a busy mother with a few works in progress of my own, so bear with me. Please be patient. If my family needs me, they come first.

Give-away Policy

Give-aways provided by the publisher are their responsibility. Give-aways run by me will be open internationally and run through a giveaway widget provided by an external company.
